PDF to Word

Extracts selectable PDF text with PDF.js and saves it as a Word document, keeping paragraphs and page breaks where possible.

Limitations

  • Only selectable text is converted, as plain paragraphs. Images, tables, columns, headers, footers and fonts are not reproduced.
  • Paragraphs are guessed from line spacing, so some breaks may be wrong. Multi-column pages can come out in the wrong reading order.
  • Scanned PDFs contain pictures of text, not text. They return an error because this tool does not do OCR.
  • Each PDF page starts on a new Word page, but page layout will differ from the original.
